InnerPulse Pulls In $50 Million Series C

DURHAM, NC -- InnerPulse Inc. announced the closing of a $50 million series C round of new investment.

The company develops technologies that treat abnormal heart rhythms and its first product, an implantable heart defibrillator, is moving through development.  The new investment will be used to complete development on the product and ready it for clinical human trials and ultimately commercialization.

Investors included Johnson & Johnson Development Corp, Medtronic, Synergy Life Science Partners, Ascent BioMedical Ventures, Delphi Ventures and Frazier Healthcare Ventures.
